IG NETWORKING ADVICE: BUILDING BRAND RELATIONSHIPS

Tips on building relationships

• Follow up: stay top of mind

  • Asking contacts what kind of content they need

  • Be timely with emails (24hrs or less to stand out)

  • Google add on: Tasks - a to do list

• Simple but ask them how they are and be personable

  • Once you have that relationship, follow them on instagram 

  • Send a thank you (card, small gift, email)

  • End of the year thank yous!!

• Monthly Check Ins

  • Send your content links

  • Follow up to see if there are any new opportunities

• Send your content: Don’t make them chase you

  • Outline key takeaways, make it easy for them 

  • Insight decks (paint a picture of success)

  • Try to be timely after finishing a collaboration

• Go above and beyond

  • Under promise + over deliver

  • Brands will ALWAYS appreciate extra content even if it’s just stories. Yes we shouldn’t work for free, but a few extra stories doesn’t hurt!

Hopefully these tips help you start to build meaningful relationships with your brand contacts which will in turn help you continue to grow your business as an influencer.
